Recently, I got a job translating some articles about a watercolor painting. For the very first time I translated 1500 Japanese words to English, it took almost 8 hours to complete the article. I wasn't familier at watercolor paintings at all, so I needed to read many articles and tutorials to find out the correct words and phrases used by natives.

Today was a English input day, that is the day I decide to read English magazines and books and watch only American dramas and News programs in order to get a sence of English as English. No Japanese translation in my brain.

Yes, learning English is never-ending process.

And I can imagine you nodding sagely reading this post.

Today, I got my hair cut and colored at a hair salon. The salon I went today is the third place I have tried since I came back to Japan.

Every time I move to a new city or country, finding the right hair salon (and dentist) is a big challenge. Because I have to sacrifice myself to find out if they are ok or not....

In Europe, stylists have their own particular style, so depending on who you choose, you will become a new you.

Anyway, after trying three salons, I finally realized that my hair style is always the same and no one notices my slight change thanks to the highly trained Japanese stylists.....

The third semester started at my children's school, and finally, I could have alone time after two weeks of winter holidays.

Just sitting on sofa with a cup of coffee in silence makes me feel so relaxed.

I used to live in Helsinki and the place I lived was perfect. From one side of the windows, I could view forests, and the other side baltic ocean. The place was in total silence.

Well, I like going out with my family and friend

and have fun too. But spending small moments of alone time makes me also realize who and what are really important for me to spend time with and for.

But, alone time doesn't last forever.

Deadline of my job is close and so much housekeeping things to do before my kids are back home, etc.
